Gold Mining Industry
“Sukari”, the most famous “Gold Mine” and the only producing gold mine in Egypt. It is located in Marsa Alam.
Another gold mind was recently discovered in “Shalatin” with an extraction rate of 95 percent.


Crystal&Glass Industry
It relies upon the deposition of white sand which is found in one of its two main locations, Zaafarana. White sand is used in the manufacture of crystal and glass and is also used in paint industry.
Animal Skin Tanning Industry
Leather and wool of animals that can be used in human consumptions as clothes, bags and shoes.


Oil Production
Ras Gharib, is the most important site for oil production in Egypt as it produces 70 percent of Egypt’s oil production.
Refractory Industry
This industry exists in Hurghada. Refractory materials which stand high temperature used in the manufacture of furnaces and other heat-proof goods.


Fishing Industry
Red Sea governorate is one of the most popular governorates in the industry of fish canning. 17 percent of Egypt’s fish production is in the red sea which depends on the most famous three cities; Hurghada, Marsa Alam and Sharm El Sheikh.
